Cassetta Rispoli in Positano is our boutique apartment in the prized part of the ‘Positano pyramid’, surrounded by the most popular bars, hotels and restaurants and close to the main beach and ferry port. Positano is a vertical town with many steps. So pack light!
Our boutique apartment is on three floors. It has a double bedroom with balcony and WC. Below is a small living room and subterranean kitchen with washer, and a cave shower & bathroom.

Directions by Ferry
Use Ferryhopper app or website for boat schedules and tickets.
On arriving at the Positano port, use the luggage porters if you have big bags.
Walk toward the town but keep left and go under the arch of the tourist office (NOT right along the beach).
You will pass a kids shooting range, fish monger and boutique shops. Take the steep stepped path on your left.
Take these up for a few minutes until you see red walls of the Miramare hotel, opposite is Via Dei Gladioli.
Follow the path until you see a dark green mailbox and tall narrow green gate.

🚕 Taxi / Bus
Take a local bus or Taxi to Hotel Reginella (near Cafe Positano). Opposite hotel take the 40 steep steps down marked ‘Spiaggia’ Via dei Gladioli.
Follow the path until you see a dark green mailbox and tall narrow green gate, then follow the steps to the bottom where there’s an arch and a lockbox with the property keys.
🅿️ Parking
Several car parks in Positano and some short term blue bays (if you can find one). Mandara Parking is the closest to the property about 3 minutes walk, central and has a petrol pump.
Entering the property
🏠 Entrance
Enter through the green gate with slats and close it behind you. On the right of the gate is a light switch on timer, if you ever arrive at night.
Go down the steps and pass the cactus and on your left you will come our yellow building with a white front door and glass floor tiles.
🔐 Keys
The lockbox is located further down the steps by the arch and a green kitchen door. Txt for the code.

🔊 Alexa
Alexa assistants are in the bedroom and kitchen. Command eg "Alexa play jazz". Say “Alex connect bluetooth” to pair with your phone.

Split system hot/cold with remotes in kitchen and bedroom. Select ❄️Cool 💦Reduce humidity ☀️Heat
🪟 Windows
European style; open vertically/horizontally depending on handle position. After opening right window, flip the left window handle to open. To close ensure left window is firmly shut before pulling handle to lock.
🚰 Water
It’s safe to drink.
🚿 Hot water boiler
Boiler in bathrooms and take 15 minutes to heat; use on/off (I O) switch by sink. Turn off after use.
🌀 Ventilation
Please leave the main bathroom light and fan permanently on, even when you leave to help reduce humidity.
🔥 Gas Stove
Operate stove carefully, we suggest turning a dial to the lowest setting first (6 o’clock) then pushing ignite.
☕ Coffee Machine
Rear red light to power on/off. Top red button to activate hot water.
Empty the spill water level in the pull-out red catch tray under the machine.
Insert a coffee pod ensuring it is between two metal plates and the tab is hanging out. The lower plate sometimes sticks to the top plate. Pull the arm down, hard until it locks into place. Top red button releases water. Release arm and place used pod in organic trash and turn off machine.
👕 Laundry machine
We suggest the first left position for the quick cycles which work well; pods go in left tray. Dry on upstairs washing line.

Please water outdoor am and pm. Indoor weekly..

📦 Post Office
Given the steps deliveries don’t arrive at the front door. We use Mailboxes Etc. 10:00-15:00 business days.
🚨 Emergencies
If you need to reset the electricity the circuit breaker is inside panel by the white front door. Note: Very occasionally power outages occur, usually subside with a few hours.
Food
Given the town’s many steps and summer heat locals tend to shop in the early morning or get a delivery.
🛒 Closest store with emergency produce and supplies 🥕🥛is Latteria opposite Poseidon hotel.
🛒 Giovanni’s grocery has 🥕🧻🍾🧼 and offers free 🚚. Whatsapp your request and ask Matteo to bring their card reader to pay +39 333 2047601. A cash tip is appreciated for delivery.
🥩 Butcher is at the central Piazza bus stop.
🐟 Fishmonger is by the tourist info.
☕️ & 🥐 try Colina bakery (by the butcher), Angelos cafe, or the locals favourite at Bar International. For a sit down brunch try Casa Bottega.
🍽️🍷 Da Vincenzo, Saraceno d’Oro, Next2 and Mediterraneo (sea food) are highly rated and close by. Book ahead in summer.

💵 Money
Most places accept tap contactless and tap by phone payment. If you need cash the nearest ATM is Cafe Positano.
🧭 Google Maps
Mapping apps are inaccurate for stepped paths on the coast. Triple the time quoted when doing directions.
🚌 Internal Bus loop
The short INTERNO buses go in a one-way loop around Positano every half hour. There’s a request-stop at hotel Reginela which will go to the town center main stop by Colina bakery - next door to which you can buy bus tickets which are cheaper than buying onboard. From this central stop are also buses to the next village of PRAIANO and mountain NOCELLE.
🚎 Inter-city Bus
The larger SITA buses go along the coastal road to the towns between Sorrento and Amalfi. Tickets and schedules can be purchased using the UNICO app. The easiest stop is at Chiesa Nova at the top of town about 10 minute walk up, the other stop is at Sponda if you’re going to Amalfi, or Parcheggio LiParlati if you’re going to Sorrento.
